Installation Instructions:
This is
a BETA version of the latest Velotron 3D
software. It will install in a
different location than the original
software to allow use of the 2004 edition
should this version fail to run correctly.
If you are installing this software on
Windows Vista, DO NOT install this into the
C:\Program
Files\ folder. Install it instead in
C:\ when asked where to install.
Please
be sure to read the README files contained
in the software to see current known issues,
if any.

Installation Instructions:
Use
this full install if you lost your original
Installation CD, or prefer to start from
scratch with a full install -- no patches.

Pentium II 266Mhz processor or faster
Windows 95,98,ME, 2000, XP
32MB RAM (Win95), 64MB RAM (Win98,ME) 128+MB
RAM (Win2000,XP) 1 Gig RAM (Windows Vista)
DirectX 7 (or higher)
32MB DirectX 7 Compatible video card*
(*video drivers must be written for and
compatible with DirectX 7

issues:*********

Requires
minimum 16-bit color depth (Display
Properties setting).
Some video cards, if set for 32-color,
can't run the Build or Load Course
Screen. In these cases, set the color
depth to 16-bit color.

Be sure to check with your
video card manufacturer for updated
drivers. This
software requires the most current video
drivers from most, if not all, video
card manufacture's. Before calling
technical support, make sure you have
done this.

Installation Instructions:

Save
1.1.10.hex to your local hard
disk.
-
Then
click on the "Reprogram PIC" selection
in the Velotron CS Program Group.
click
on image for normal view
-
You will
see the above program.
-
Click on
the Search button to locate the *.hex
file.
-
Click on
the Port selection and choose the Serial
Com Port typically used to communicate
with Velotron.
-
Click on
the Bd button and set this to "38400"
-
Click on
the Write button
-
Turn the
Velotron Load Generator Power Switch to
the OFF then ON position to recycle the
power.
-
The Info
line should indicate a "writing" process
until the confirmation occurs indicating
the PIC has been programmed.
Note to
original Velotron Users (Pre-2004)
Version,
1.1.7, was the version of the PIC
program shipped on ALL Velotrons up to this
date. Install 1.1.7 ONLY if you are
experiencing problems with Velotron CS 1.5
and want to return to Velotron CS 1.0
(available on the original software install
disc).
